For cardiology imaging solutions, Philips was rated first at 76.5 points. Siemens closely followed in second with 75.6 points. Fujifilm, IBM Watson Health, and Change Healthcare ranked third, fourth, and fifth respectively.
Philips was also ranked first at 82.7 points for universal viewer imaging solutions.
KLAS also ranked Picture Archiving Communication (PACS) vendors.
PACS uses digital imaging and communications in medicine to store and transmit images. PACS has become increasingly popular over the last few years, as they are versatile and allow access to multiple users at any time while also ensuring data storage and security solutions.
Key modality segments between 2012 and 2025 are digital radiology, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound, according to a December 2019 Adroit Market Research report. Other imaging modalities included nuclear medicine, PET scan, mammography, and angiography, which are also expected to grow in the coming years.
For large PACS vendors, Sectra was rated number one with 93.9 points. Intelerad, Change Healthcare, Fujifilm, Agfa Healthcare, Philips, IBM Watson Health, GE Healthcare all followed.
Sectra also topped the list for best PACS vendors among smaller PACS companies. The company earned 90.2 points.
INFINITT fell to second place, followed by Change Healthcare, Fujifilm, Philips, Intelerad, IBM Watson Health, Philips, Novarad, GE Healthcare, and IBM Watson Health.
There were six ranked VNA solutions. In first, Fujifilm saw a score of 85.9 points, followed closely by Philips at 84.6 points. Hyland, IBM Watson Health, NTT DATA, and GE Healthcare were also on the list of top VNA vendors, all finding a score in the upper 60s and 70s.
Advanced digital visualization emphasizes the fact that pictures are able to simplify information needed to comprehend complex questions. It is an advanced system that uses “the autonomous or semi-autonomous examination of data or content to discover deeper insights, make predictions, or generate recommendations,” according to a recent Dataversity article.
The KLAS report touched on how advanced visualization solutions compared to other imaging software solutions. TeraRecon ranked first with a score of 88.8 points, followed by Vital (86.5 points), Siemens (80.6 points), GE Healthcare (77.2 points), and Philips (74.3 points).
In terms of imaging solutions vendors, the Best in KLAS report also found:
· IBM Watson Health took the front running position for cardiology hemodynamics solutions. GE Healthcare, Philips, and Change Healthcare followed respectively
· For Image Exchange solutions, Ambra, Nuance, and lifeIMAGE took the first, second, and third spots
· Epic topped the list for oncology medical solutions, followed by Elekta, Flatiron, Cerner, Varian, and McKesson
· Varian took the number two spot for Oncology-Radiation solutions, it topped the charts for Oncology Treatment Planning
3M MModal, Dolbey, and Nuance took the only three spots for Speech Recognition: Front-End Imaging solutions.
