- Epic is adding a clinical decision support application for cancer treatment to its App Orchard marketplace for third-party apps.
The new application, Flatiron Assist, provides support to oncologists in selecting cancer therapies in line with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology and identifies relevant clinical trials.
The app enables clinicians to verify the clinical data needed to assess compliance with guidelines quickly. Health system administrators can utilize the clinical data collected by the app to improve the prior authorization process, assess treatment variability across a practice or health system, and report compliance to payers.
